Girls' Trip Organized by Me!
Translated with ChatGPT
I haven't been on many girls' trips in my life. As a mother in my early twenties, there wasn't much of that during my youth. Later, I faced some challenges related to anxiety, which made it difficult to do things at times. But I also haven't been the kind of girl who has a best friend in adulthood. I've had friends and buddies, but not a group of girlfriends. That changed in recent years. I've made several good female friends! It's so much fun! Many of them know each other, so I feel like I'm part of a group of girlfriends. That hasn't been common for me before. And I haven't really missed it. Now I have it, and I never want to be without it again! Two of these friends are sisters. They are crazy, imaginative, unique, just patient enough to take me on hikes, and incredibly empathetic. In their individual ways, of course 😅 They always come up with something fun, while we can also do nothing together. They've helped me through a lot. The latest adventure was this girls' trip I've shared a bit about on social media. Now you'll get the whole story.
I'm trying to keep up, because you are amazing, because you are amazing, and I love being with you, and I love being with you. To the others reading this. Find your distractions and use them! I suspect that it's somewhat rewarding to be someone's distraction from time to time. At least Morten says it's mostly okay 😇"
As mentioned earlier, girls' trips are not something I've done much. As you might have guessed, I'm not someone who travels much without Morten. But with these two supporters on the trip, and Morten involved in the planning and available on the phone, I have now planned, executed, and MASTERED so many things this weekend!! Now you'll hear all about it!
I planned a trip for the three of us, and they didn't know anything other than the date! So I couldn't ask them about what they wanted or didn't want, etc. I just took into consideration myself and what I thought would be fun.
1. I took the train all the way to Bergen!
2. I checked into the hotel!
3. I took the Fløibanen funicular alone!
4. I checked out of the hotel!
5. I flew home from Bergen! BY PLANE!! This means I checked in, dropped off my luggage, went through security (of course, I was flagged and taken aside 🤷♀️) before flying for the 45 minutes it takes to Gardermoen.
I did all of this without Morten!! I had a lot of support from my friends, but since they didn't know about everything, I couldn't consult with them and rely on them all the time. Don't think I didn't do it at all! I really did! I couldn't have done any of it without these two by my side! Their ability to understand and support without making it difficult is invaluable to me right now. I really want to achieve a lot. And quickly! But it takes time, and I need help.
So, Synnøve and Christie! Thank you so much for being yourselves!! This journey meant so much to me! I'm incredibly proud of myself!! And it's largely because I had you as (I'm not sure what to call it, so I'll go with the first thing that came to my mind) distractions from KokoMiriam! You are valuable, and I adore you.
